SLM 125 machine for Metal Additive Manufacturing in HCMO

Honeywell Chihuahua Machining Operations (HCMO) installed its first 3D metal printer in May 2016 and joined Honeywell’s other global laboratories in developing 3D Printing technology.

The laboratory will be used in collaboration with other Honeywell labs to conduct material research as well as the printing of tooling for the production floor.

HCMO is a major production facility for Honeywell and what may start as a research effort in 2016 may turn into a 3D Production Facility very quickly.

The HCMO Organization is looking forward to generating valuable engineering and material property data in order to contribute to Honeywell's global efforts in developing this technology.

HCMO will begin printing fixtures and tooling, and eventually will work very closely with Honeywell Phoenix in the parts development process.
