A new collaboration between Honeywell and MAG, Inc. (MAG) is providing better access to avionics repair and overhaul services for commercial helicopter operators in the northeastern United States. Honeywell’s newest channel partner, MAG will primarily work on the Primus Epic integrated avionics system for the AgustaWestland AW139 helicopter at its full-service MRO and AgustaWestland Service Center in Philadelphia (PNE).
“We’re excited about this opportunity to work with MAG because they have built strong and lasting relationships with the AgustaWestland operator community in the Northeast,” said John Doak, Customer Business Manager for Honeywell. “With MAG, we know that our customers are in good hands.”
MAG employs about 50 people at its Philadelphia facility, many of whom are factory-trained in servicing AgustaWestland helicopters. Two avionics specialists with more than 15 years of experience will focus on servicing the Primus Epic system, supported by other technicians in the facility.
“We maintain helicopters for many different operators and having a stronger relationship with Honeywell will help us provide customers with better support,” said Davide Marucco, President of MAG, Inc. “Our goal is to provide superior service, reduced downtime and lower overall costs for our mutual customers.” Armando Sassoli, Co-General Manager of Mecaer Aviation Group commented “We have long looked for the ideal partner to further expand our service capabilities into avionics. Our group is very pleased that partner will now be a most prestigious brand like Honeywell.”
“Integration is our target, we aim to be a one-stop shop for AgustaWestland operators” said Mark Rager, Maintenance Director. “Working with Honeywell, we want to offer the best possible avionics repair, overhaul and modification services. But we also provide a wide range of products and services such as Italian-style interior completions, infotainment installations, maintenance and beyond.”
MAG’s facility is fully qualified to perform avionics retrofits, modifications and upgrades on AgustaWestland, Airbus Helicopters, Bell Helicopter and MD Helicopters. MAG will exhibit at this year’s Heli-Expo; visit them at Booth 503. About Mecaer Aviation Group
