For more than two decades, helicopter operators have turned to the highly skilled technicians at the Honeywell Aerospace Greer Aftermarket Services facility in South Carolina when they need service on their turboshaft engines.
The site specializes in repair and overhaul work, conversions and upgrades, and periodic inspections for various Honeywell engines, including the LTS101 family of engines that powers the Airbus AS350, Bell 222, Airbus BK117 and Avicopter AC311. Since it was certified in 1975, over 2,000 LTS101 engines have been delivered to customers worldwide and have logged more than 11 million service hours.
As the original engine manufacturer, we have unique insights into the operation of the LTS101. These extend to the maintenance, repair and overhaul services we offer in Greer, including onsite component repair.
For example, we adhere to manufacturer-standard quality and build protocols that lead to best-in-class quality and reliability. An in-house engineering repair development team for LTS101 components ensures that the latest and most efficient repair techniques are applied, improving turn-around time and reducing costs for operators. An extensive inventory of factory parts assures quality and reduces cycle time for repairs. And our performance analysis capabilities enable us to improve temperature margin, which leads to better engine performance.
The Greer site has recently released several new repairs including the Rear Bearing Support Housing tube replacement and overhaul, PT Nozzle Effective Flow Area (EFA) increase with new-style heat shield replacement, and Effusion Liner inner and outer wall replacement.
We are even able to assist with arranging engine rentals to get operators’ helicopters back in the air and minimize aircraft on ground occurrences. At Greer, we drive efficiency and customer responsiveness through use of the Honeywell Operating System, our company-specific approach to standardize work, reduce errors and generate flawless service. Greer was recently named an HOS Silver site and leads the network in engine repairs, service and support.
