For the second consecutive year, Honeywell received the “2015 Sharp Moving Brand Award” from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) Journal. Presented at an award ceremony in Beijing, April 6, the award recognizes Honeywell’s outstanding contributions in brand promotion, specifically those that create a significant impact on China’s aviation industry.
The CAAC Journal is an important newspaper in the Asia-Pacific region. It covers China’s civil aviation industry and other relevant industrial sectors. The publication, which has 140 million readers annually, is the only approved on-flight newspaper, and has been distributed in 39 countries, on 630 domestic routes and 98 international and regional routes.
“As an organization we are proud to be acknowledged with such a prestigious award,” said Robert Xu, Honeywell’s Asia-Pacific Communications Director. “Being a thought leader in the field is something we do not take lightly. We appreciate CAAC’s acknowledgment of our efforts and contributions to brand promotion in the aviation industry and we look forward to future collaborations.”
The CAAC panel of senior media professionals and industry experts noted Honeywell’s participation in the first China Global Landing System demo flight in April 2015 as a key factor in the decision-making process. Honeywell produced a video for the demo flight that supported the introduction of the new technology, which was highly regarded by CAAC leaders.
