More than 160 commercial helicopter operators, distributors and channel partners gathered with Honeywell Customer & Product Support teams in Orlando in early March for the annual Honeywell Operators Conference. The conference was held just before the Heli-Expo Conference and Exhibition.
The pre-conference began with a series of roundtable meetings for Authorized Warranty And Repair Stations (AWARS), LTS101 engine service centers, and Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) distributors. The sessions were designed to create an open dialog between Honeywell and its partners and share best practices and discuss issues.
Operators of helicopters equipped with Honeywell engines and avionics joined the group the following day for a wide-ranging series of sessions including industry updates and Honeywell product overviews. Included were technical sessions on Honeywell LTS101 and T53 engines, helicopter avionics and safety systems, communications and connectivity, and support services. An informative session on the MyAerospace web portal was designed to help operators get the most of Honeywell’s unique customer-service site.
The goal of the Honeywell Helicopter Operators Conference is to open lines of two-way communications between Honeywell and the operator community. It’s an opportunity for Honeywell to discuss current service bulletins and share product and service news, including information about new products and developments that can help operators improve the safety and efficiency of their operations.
Just as importantly, the conference provides an opportunity for operators, distributors and channel partners to ask questions, raise issues and let Honeywell representatives know how they can improve.
