Inflight magazine, considered the leading independent publication devoted to the in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) and cabin technology industry, recently bestowed the honor on Honeywell in the category of "Innovation in Corporate Jet Cabins" at the Inflight Workshop and Awards 2015 in Dubai.
The event was held during the Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME) showcase February 2-3. This two-day exhibition provides a platform for interiors suppliers, providers and buyers to network, establish new relationships in the Middle East and demonstrate their best offerings.
The awards were judged by Inflight's independent expert judging panel which considered specific criteria of comfort, durability, innovation, quality and design.
On hand to collect the award for Honeywell were Paul Paoletta, Global Sales Director AT&R Direct Sales & HIS Sales and Elodie Terrier, Senior Manager, EMEA.
The Honeywell award application detailed Honeywell Ovation™ Select cabin management system's innovative design, scalability, reliability and maintainability, citing in particular the "cinema-quality experience that Honeywell Ovation™ Select cabin management system brings passengers."
This second-generation, all-digital Cabin Management System (CMS) is flying today in approximately 100 aircraft spanning the newly-certified mid-size Embraer Legacy 500 up to the Boeing 777. The system is standard-fit on the Legacy and Lineage platforms from Embraer and is certified for many other platforms including the Falcon 50, 900 and 7X; Bombardier Global Express; Gulfstream G450 and G550; and the Boeing BBJ and Boeing 747-8.
