Ovation Select to offer personal HD moving map for individual passenger tablets

April 30, 2015

Honeywell's Ovation Select® is a state-of-the-art cabin management system giving business jet passengers unprecedented business productivity and connectivity and allowing control of in-flight entertainment and environmental conditions─including such things as lighting, seats, temperature, galley and window shades.

As an enhancement to the existing JetMap HD, Honeywell will offer passengers a high-definition tablet map system called JetMap HD Mobile to give them individual access to their own moving map experience.

JetMap HD Mobile is an independent moving map application that operates on the passenger’s own tablet device. The system offers seven distinct views, four home bases, time-zone display, time-to-destination, customizable "ticker" display, "night mode" and eight pre-sets―all with an intuitive user interface.

A 30-minute HD video takes viewers on a simulated flight from Reno to San Francisco aboard Honeywell's Falcon 900EX demonstrating the features of the classic JetMap HD product.

Since entry into service in October 2011, the Ovation Select system has been installed on more than 100 aircraft around the world and obtained FAA and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certifications on both US and international "green" (flyable but unpainted, unfurnished and basically equipped) and aftermarket aircraft from Boeing, Bombardier, Dassault and Gulfstream. Additionally, Ovation Select is the original equipment cabin management system for Embraer aircraft including the Legacy 650, Legacy 450, Legacy 500 and Lineage 1000.

Market entry for JetMap HD Mobile is forecast for June 2015.
