Last week in Tokyo, Honeywell Aerospace celebrated a very special milestone in our history. For the past 60 years we have worked closely with our partners in Japan, supporting the national defense objectives of the Japanese Ministry of Defense. During this time we have supported all elements of the Japanese self-defense force including the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.
Our activities in Japan have seen us working to support a range of platforms across all of the Self-Defense Forces, including UH-60, OH-1, CH-47J, AH-64D, P-3C, US-2, MCH101, F-1, F-2 and F-15 to name but a few, and, as we look forward to the next 60 years we are excited to be involved in a wide range of next generation programs in development in Japan.
Mark Burgess, Customer Business Director for the Asia Pacific region commented, "It is an exciting time in our relationship with our Japanese customers and industry partners. We value our relationships in Japan highly and the Ministry of Defense is one of our largest customers."
Mark went on to say, "We are delighted to have the opportunity to mark this milestone in our shared history and we look forward to continuing to develop and grow our partnerships in Japan."
The celebration was supported by a wide range of our senior leaders from both the global and asia pacific team, recognizing the importance of the region.
