Honeywell will expand its relationship with MASCO Service to include the Sky Connect Iridium® Transceiver product line. MASCO will begin providing repair, maintenance and overhaul support for Sky Connect products later this year.

The two companies have a long history of working together to meet the needs of helicopter operators, especially those in the oil and gas industry. MASCO has a proven track record for providing high-quality service and support for a wide range of Honeywell helicopter avionics products and instruments that help improve the safety and efficiency of operations.

By adding the Sky Connect transceiver to the portfolio of products that MASCO supports, Honeywell is taking steps to ensure customer service and minimize turn-around time on customer repair, maintenance and overhaul.

Location was a prime consideration for Honeywell. From its facility in Broussard, La., MASCO is ideally located to provide fast, effective repair and distribution services for oil and gas operators flying offshore missions in the Gulf of Mexico. MASCO also has a facility near the Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport.

"Masco is pleased to be chosen as the exclusive product support solution for Honeywell's industry leading Sky Connect aircraft tracking system including the new Tracker III," said Clay Massey, vice president of MASCO. “We believe this partnership offers the customer the most responsive and reliable service available in support of Honeywell’s Sky Connect products."

Both centers are FAA/EASA certified and have in-house capability to perform hands-on maintenance, repair and overhaul and recertification of instruments, accessories and avionics.

Operators also will benefit from MASCO’s ability to provide exchange and loaner units to Honeywell customers from their stock on hand, reducing the likelihood of an extended aircraft on ground (AOG) situation.

Sky Connect offers cabin voice or texting capabilities on the global network of Iridium satellites. The transceiver is also a key component in the Sky Connect line of mobile asset tracking systems, which provide voice, tracking and text capabilities as part of the Tracker System.
