Carl Esposito

Carl Esposito is the President of the Electronic Solutions Business unit. In this role, Carl is responsible for all aspects of the Cockpits Systems, Navigation, Space and Safety Systems businesses. He also oversees the BendixKing business. In his current role, he drives Honeywell Aerospace strategy, with a product portfolio in the Air Transport, Business & General Aviation, and Defense & Space segments. An industry veteran and member of the Aerospace Leadership Team, Esposito leads technology development addressing global macro trends including safety, security, energy efficiency, and globalization.

Previously, Carl was the vice president of Strategy, Marketing and Product Management for Honeywell Aerospace, a $15 billion business group of Honeywell International. With the broadest aviation portfolio in the industry, Esposito led strategic planning, product marketing, product management and marketing communications. He is also a patent author, inventor, pilot and aviation enthusiast.

Since joining Honeywell in 1990, Esposito has held several roles in marketing, business and global leadership, engineering, customer support, program management and sales. Previous roles have included vice president of Business & General Aviation for the Europe, Middle East, Africa and India region, responsible for aftermarket business/customer support and worldwide sales; vice President of the business aviation; and vice president of OEM account management and sales. During his tenure, Esposito earned Honeywell’s Senior Leadership Award, the highest level of leadership recognition awarded within the company.

Esposito serves on the FAA’s Next Generation Advisory Council, an advisory group comprised of executive-level representatives from all relevant industry and government stakeholders convened to advise the FAA on policy and related issues critical to NextGen planning, implementation and adoption of advanced air traffic management solutions. In 2014, he was elected to the Chairmanship of the Board of the Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics, an aviation industry standards setting organization. Esposito also serves on the Board of Governors for the Flight Safety Foundation, an organization dedicated to improving aviation safety for the global aviation community.

Esposito holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and earned his Masters of Program Management and Masters of Business Administration degrees from the Keller Graduate School of Management. He is a Project Management Professional and a certified Six Sigma Green Belt. Esposito also holds a private pilot’s license.
