Honeywell Helps Army Aviators Press their Advantage

Honeywell Aerospace technologies for Army helicopters will be on display at Mission Solutions Summit 2016, April 28-30 in Atlanta. Sponsored by the Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA), this year’s event brings together the entire Army aviation community to explore ways to help Army aviators achieve their missions. “Advancing Army Aviation’s Asymmetrical Advantage” is the theme of the 2016 event.

Honeywell military helicopter solutions improve safety, situational awareness, connectivity, operational readiness and fuel efficiency, while reducing operational and sustainment costs. From sophisticated avionics to powerful propulsion engines to reliable communications systems, our solutions can be found on mission-critical platforms across the U.S. Army fleet – providing the Army with the power to protect and the technology to perform.

At Booth 2021 on the tradeshow floor, we’ll be featuring a wide range of Honeywell products, systems and capabilities designed to help Army aviators achieve their missions and improve the safety and efficiency of flight.

We’ll be displaying:

Navigation Technology, including our next-generation inertial navigation solution for military aircraft. The new FALCN embedded global positioning system/inertial navigation system (EGI) brings operators all the features of proven Honeywell EGI technology in a smaller, more efficient package.

HUMS Technology. We’re the leader in Health and Usage Management Systems for Army helicopters, including our 1239 HUMS, which enables condition-based maintenance by monitoring the health of vibrating and spinning parts and recording the operational context of events so that flight and maintenance crews can analyze trends and perform condition-based maintenance.

Propulsion Systems, including our latest air turbine starter, which offers improved performance and reliability as a drop-in replacement for current ATS units on the UH-60 Black Hawk. The HPW3000 engine will be on display at the Advanced Turbine Engine Company (ATEC) exhibit, Booth 1328.

Connectivity. We’ll be featuring our full line of secure, reliable satellite communications systems for Army aviation, including the AC-27 antenna and the AMT-700 high-gain antenna, especially designed to meet the needs of Army aviators.
