Riverside Aviation, the flight management department for a leading private equity business in New York, owns and operates a Dassault Falcon 900B.
Built in 1991 and acquired by Riverside in 2004, the Falcon has so far clocked up more than 13,500 hours in the air.
It has been expertly maintained and regularly upgraded throughout its life, with much of the work carried out by Duncan Aviation, one of the most respected aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul businesses in the United States.
This means that the jet is in top condition, with years of active service ahead of it. So much so that Riverside has recently invested in the latest Honeywell flight management system 6.1 software upgrade.
This provides the aircraft with enhanced flight management capabilities and also prepares the Falcon to take full advantage of technological developments including ADS-B and FANS that will revolutionize aviation into the 2020s.
“The upgrade to Honeywell FMS 6.1 has reduced pilot workload and delivered added flexibility in the cockpit,” said Chauncey Webb, former pilot and aviation department manager, Riverside Aviation.
“The investment not only provides immediate operational and financial benefits but also opens up the prospect of extending the working life of this great aircraft well into the 2020s.”
