February 4, 2016 | Author: Irene Loh-Brodie

Every two years, thousands of aviation professionals gather in Singapore from all over the world for the excitement and fun of Asia's premier airshow. There are many great reasons to be at the show, but here are our top five:

  1. Really big show – Singapore’s Airshow represents not only one of the biggest, but also one of the most important, aerospace and defense exhibitions in the world. More than 1,020 companies are expected to participate, drawing an estimated 45,000 attendees.
  2. Cool forces – It may not be the Star Wars squad, but how often can you rub shoulders with air force troops? This show gives you that chance.
  3. Beauty in the skies – The Black Eagles team from the Republic of Korea is back again to thrill the crowd with their amazing airborne group aerobatics. This year, the team is prepared to take your breath away with fantastic maneuvers. Both military and civilian aircraft take to the skies to perform death-defying stunts.
  4. Grandeur on the ground - Visitors enjoy a first-hand view of all types of jets, ranging from the plush cabins of luxury aircraft to the mammoth interior of Boeing’s giant C-17 Globemaster transport.
  5. Lots of freebies – Don’t miss the many goodies available in the main hall. Freebies range from souvenir pins and caps to sun visors, umbrellas, airplane-shaped pens and more. Why not collect them all?

Recognized for its neutrality and strong infrastructure, Singapore offers the ideal location to forge partnerships and seal deals in the region. At the same time, there is strong support from the government to build the aerospace industry and develop Singapore as an aviation hub. All these factors contribute to the success of the Singapore Airshow.
