Honeywell's Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning Systems (EGPWS) minimize risks and maximize reaction time by constantly and unobtrusively monitoring terrain and obstacles in proximity of the aircraft. Honeywell offers EGPWS for both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. Pilots see an intuitive view of nearby terrain and obstacles that greatly enhances their situational awareness and are alerted only when there is a very real danger.

EGPWS uses aircraft inputs such as position, attitude, air speed, glideslope, and an internal terrain, obstacles and airport database, to predict a potential conflict between the aircraft's flight path and terrain or an obstacle. Honeywell’s EGPWS also allows for chargeable software enhancements such as SmartRunway® & SmartLanding® were developed to provide aural and visual alerts to flight crews with the purpose of mitigating the potential for runway incursions and runway excursions. Runway incursions and runway excursions are among the leading causes of aviation accidents and are on the National Transportation Safety Board’s (NTSB) top 10 global aviation safety concerns.

MKV-A EGPWS

The new MKV-A EGPWS exceeds the FAA TSO-C151c Class A requirements for TAWS and provides digital fixed-wing aircraft with industry leading worldwide protection against Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT), Windshear, and (optionally) Runway Incursions/Overruns.

MK V EGPWS

With over 40,000 units in service since 1996 with airlines, business aviation and the military, the MK V EGPWS exceeds the FAA TSO-C151b Class A terrain awareness and warning system (TAWS)requirements and provides digital fixed-wing aircraft with industry leading worldwide protection against Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT), Windshear, and (optionally) Runway Incursions and Overruns.

MK VI EGPWS

Designed specifically for the lower altitudes, slower speeds, and faster engine response times of turboprop aircraft, the MK VI EGPWS provides low cost TSO-C151b Class A terrain awareness and warning system (TAWS) protection against controlled flight into terrain (CFIT).

MK VII EGPWS

In service since 1998 with airlines, business aviation and the military, the MK VII EGPWS exceeds the FAA TSO-C151b Class A terrain awareness and warning system (TAWS) requirements and provides analog fixed-wing aircraft with industry leading worldwide protection against Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT), Windshear, and (optionally) Runway Incursions and Overruns. Military aircraft mission modes are also available.

MK VIII EGPWS

Designed specifically business jets and large turboprops with intercontinental range, the MK VIII EGPWS provides low cost TSO-C151b Class A terrain awareness and warning system (TAWS) protection against CFIT anywhere in the world.

MK XXI EGPWS

The MK XXI EGPWS exceeds the FAA TSO-C194 requirements for HTAWS and is designed specifically for VFR helicopters without a radio altimeter installed. The MK XXI provides helicopters with low-cost regional protection against controlled flight into terrain (CFIT).

MK XXII EGPWS

For IFR-equipped helicopters with a radio altimeter, the MK XXII EGPWS is a full-featured HTAWS with additional highly advanced functions to avoid CFIT and obstacle collisions.

KGP 560 860

The KGP-560 and KGP-860 exceed the FAA TSO-C151b Class B requirements for TAWS and provides piston, turboprop and light jet fixed-wing aircraft with industry leading protection against Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT)

KMH-880 980

Honeywell offers the unmatched flexibility of an integrated hazard avoidance system in the KMH-880 and KMH-980. These systems pair an active-interrogation Traffic Advisory System (TAS) or TCAS with a Class B TAWS/Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System - making this a powerful duo for safety in the sky.

Multifunction Radar Display (MFRD)

The Honeywell Multifunction Radar Display (MFRD) provides traffic, terrain, weather radar, and navigation on a single space saving cockpit display.
